Jahmyr Gibbs has opened the 2026 season with 7 rushing touchdowns in five games for the Detroit Lions, including multi-TD outings in Weeks 1, 3, and 5 that have him atop positional leaderboards. The 24-year-old lead back is handling a bell-cow role with 105 carries and consistent red-zone usage behind an efficient offensive line, while the Lions offense ranks among the league’s highest-scoring units. A Week 6 bye provides rest before a Week 7 home matchup against Green Bay and a favorable remaining schedule. No major injury concerns have surfaced, though his heavy touch volume and the team’s overall run-game commitment will shape how his touchdown total progresses through 17 games.
