Cristiano Ronaldo, at age 41, has opened the 2026-27 campaign with Al-Nassr by scoring five goals in nine appearances across the Saudi Pro League and AFC Champions League Elite, including his 980th career goal via a first-half rebound in a 3-0 league win over Al-Diriyah on October 9. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner remains a regular starter under coach Ange Postecoglou, benefiting from service by teammates such as Kingsley Coman, João Félix, and Sadio Mané as Al-Nassr sits near the top of the table in pursuit of another domestic title. Recent form follows 30 goals in 2025-26, though his output has been slightly more measured early this season amid a congested fixture list. A public dispute with Portugal coach Jorge Jesus led to Ronaldo walking out of the national team camp and a provisional suspension by the Portuguese FA, potentially limiting international minutes and recovery demands. With roughly 26 Saudi Pro League matches remaining plus continental ties, his minutes, squad rotation, and any fitness management will shape total goals across club competitions.
